1. Information We Collect

When you use mmomento, we collect the following information:

  • Email address — used for account authentication via one-time passcode (OTP).
  • Photos and videos — media you capture within the app, stored securely in the cloud for backup.
  • Music recognition data — song title, artist, album art, and audio preview URLs identified by ShazamKit or ACRCloud.
  • Location data — approximate location (city, region, country) attached to your moments, only when you grant permission.
  • Captions — text you write to describe your moments.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide cloud backup and sync for your moments across devices.
  • To generate shareable web links when you choose to share a moment.
  • To identify music playing around you using third-party recognition services.
  • To improve the app experience and fix bugs.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL and cloud object storage). Media files are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We don't sell your personal data. Your memories are private and only shared when you choose.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Apple ShazamKit — music recognition on iOS.
  • ACRCloud — music recognition (fallback).
  • Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring.
  • Vercel — hosting for the web share pages.

5. Sharing

When you share a moment, a public web link is created at mmomento.com. This link displays your photo/video, caption, song information, and location. Only moments you explicitly share are publicly accessible.

6. Your Rights

  • Delete your data — you can delete individual moments or your entire account from the app settings.
  • Export your data — you can request a full export of your data from the app settings.
  • Location opt-out — you can disable location saving at any time in settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (moments, media files, and personal information) is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

mmomento is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
