How does mmomento identify songs?

mmomento uses Apple's ShazamKit framework to recognize songs playing around you. When you open the camera, mmomento starts listening for music. When you capture a photo or video, the identified song is automatically attached to your moment.

Do I need an account to use mmomento?

No — you can capture and save moments locally without creating an account. Signing in with your email enables cloud backup, sharing moments via links, and accessing your moments across devices.

I didn't receive my sign-in code. What should I do?

If you didn't receive your one-time passcode (OTP):

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Wait up to 2 minutes for the email to arrive
  • Make sure you entered your email address correctly
  • Tap "Resend code" if available
  • Try a different email address

How do shared links work?

When you share a moment, we generate a private link (like mmomento.com/m/...). Anyone with the link can view the moment for 7 days. After that, the link expires to keep your moments private. If someone saves a shared moment to their own mmomento, their copy stays in their account even after the original link expires.

Why does mmomento need camera, microphone, and location access?

  • Camera: To capture photos and videos for your moments
  • Microphone: To listen for music around you for song recognition
  • Location: To tag where each moment was captured (optional, you can turn this off in Settings)

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the app, go to Settings (gear icon top-right), and tap "Delete Account". This permanently deletes all your moments, media, and account data. You can also email us at support@mmomento.com to request account deletion.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email us at support@mmomento.com with as much detail as possible. For bugs, please include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, and steps to reproduce. For feature requests, tell us what you'd love to see — we read every message.
